Gift Parcel Delivery...

Delivery should take 3-5 working days (in practice it tend to happen in two working days from despatch) however delivery to certain outlying or remote areas may take slightly longer.

Student Gift Parcel provides a free standard delivery service to mainland UK addresses. To avoid doubt this is the Zone 1 area as defined by Parcel Force on their website We do NOT currently deliver to addresses outside the UK, BFPO or PO Box addresses.We can deliver to the Highland universities it just takes slightly longer! By prior agreement we can deliver to the ROI but this will include an additional charge.

We use a variety of couriers or Royal Mail or Parcel Force. We do this to provide the best possible service dependent on location, parcel size and weight and other factors.

Please ensure that you have provided us with the following information, as we may be unable to fulfill your order without it:

Correct Delivery Address, including Postcode.
Post codes are vital! If the postcode is incorrect, or left out, delivery WILL be delayed or possibly miss delivery will be made. Student Gift Parcel cannot be held responsible if an incorrect address is provided.

What happens if no-one is at home when delivery is attempted?

Some of our deliveries will require a signature on delivery – some courier companies are unable to “leave round the back” or “on doorstep” if no-one is at home. In the event of no-one being at the address to take receipt of the gift, our courier may leave a calling card which gives information on how to re-arrange free re-delivery, or how to collect the gift from their nearest delivery depot or they may attempt re-delivery on another day. At this point it becomes the responsibility of the recipient to arrange for the collection or delivery of their parcel. As delivery is not made by ourselves we are unable to carry out delivery instructions such as “deliver after 4pm”.

Some of our deliveries do not require a signature. In this case the courier company reserve the right to deliver to a safe place or a neighbour. If this is the case the courier will put a card through the letter box detailing the location of the parcel. If the courier deems there to be no safe place then a card will be posted through the letterbox detailing how to re-arrange delivery, or how to collect the gift from their nearest delivery depot. At this point it becomes the responsibility of the recipient to arrange for the collection or delivery of their parcel. If not collected within 3 days, parcels are returned to us. A re-delivery charge will be made to deliver again.

Order Tracking

If your parcel is despatched using a tracked service then we will send a confirmation email which will include your parcel tracking number. This will enable you to track your delivery via the courier’s website. If you have not received the confirmation e mail then please check your junk or spam folder.

Delivery to Halls of Residences

Deliveries to Halls of Residences may not be personally delivered to the requested recipient by our courier as many deliveries which are made to Universities or Colleges are made to a central delivery point such as the post room. Regrettably, it is impossible for us to be responsible for the actions of staff members within the University or College where delivery is being made. Our part in the delivery process has been completed once a gift parcel has been delivered to and received by a member of the staff at the central delivery point. We are unable to influence or control the movement or rate of movement of a parcel within the University or College. It is probably a good idea to notify the recipient that a parcel is on its way.

Delivery Terms + Conditions

We endeavour to dispatch orders within 24 hours of receipt (week days only Jan to Nov) unless stated differently in T &Cs or at the head of the delivery section. Orders must be received by 12 noon to guarantee next day delivery. Once your order has been dispatched we will notify you by email.

Where We Deliver To & Prices

We offer a Premium Next Working Day Delivery service but only by prior agreement, please see below. Standard Delivery is free and is available Monday to Friday during working hours.. For your peace of mind, gifts are usually sent via a fully trackable, signed for courier service.

Premium Next Available Day Delivery

This option can only be used by prior arrangement with Student Gift Parcel or if the next working day delivery option is offered on the website (currently not offered on the website). We strongly suggest you only use this option if you know someone is available all day to sign receipt of the parcel. In practice we only really suggest this option for delivery to somewhere with a manned reception.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here’s how it works. If you place your order before noon on a working day and choose this option & pay, then your parcel will be delivered on the next working day. E.g order at 11am on a normal Monday morning and the parcel will be delivered on Tuesday. Example two, order at 11pm on a Friday night and then the parcel will be despatched on Monday & delivered on Tuesday. Please ask us if you require any further clarification on this.

We regret that delivery at specific times or on Saturday on Sunday and on Bank Holidays is not possible.

This is a signed for service. You need to ensure someone is available all day to sign receipt of the parcel. If this is not the case then the parcel will be returned to depot.
